Portrait of Hiroyuki Sanada as Yoshii Toranaga – This is a personal project I created in my free time, deeply inspired by the cinematic power and atmosphere of Shōgun. My goal was not only to capture the likeness of Hiroyuki Sanada, but also to convey the commanding presence, wisdom, and inner strength of his character. The workflow involved sculpting in ZBrush, refining in Maya, texturing in Mari, utilizing VFace technology for facial detailing, and rendering with Arnold – aiming for a balance between realism and artistry.
